Putin and Kerry were discussing the issues regarding Ukraine, and fighting terrorism in Syria. The latter topic is of the central importance now, as a few hours after the beginning of the negotiations the Islamic terrorists made an attack in the French city of Nice.
At the meeting, John Kerry voiced the offer of the United States to Vladimir Putin: Washington counts on creating a united special co-ordinating center in Amman, where according to the presented plan the Russian and the American intelligence services would closely co-operate.
At the moment the relationship between the United States and the Russian Federation can hardly be called friendly, as recently the Americans have approved the draft directed at democratization of Ukraine containing new sanctions against Russia.
