Hungary thinks European economy needs turnaround

The EU economy keeps falling and backtracking.  However, some politicians see a way out of this dire situation. According to Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, the reason for the European economy's decline lies in the mistaken actions of the EU leadership.
PM Orbán said matters had been made worse by “a multitude of poor decisions taken by the Brussels bureaucracy in recent years.”
In the politician's opinion, the most obvious mistakes made by European leaders are decisions related to the "green transition" and excessive bureaucratic red tape for European agricultural producers. The cherry on top of the cake is major problems in the tax sector, leading to an outflow of investments.
Notably, Hungary has recently taken over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union. The country took over from Belgium and will hand it over to Poland at the end of December 2024. The Hungarian government will lead the Council of the EU in a challenging environment, as the country has serious disagreements with EU leaders on a number of key issues.
