技术指标平滑异同移动平均线(MACD)是另一个追踪趋势的动态指标。它显示两个价格移动平均之间的相关性。
平滑异同移动平均线指标在26单位周期和12单位周期移动平均之间差异的基础上构造出来。为了指示最有利的时刻，在MACD中加入了信号线(9单位周期指标的移动平均)。
MACD用于宽幅震荡的交易市场时更佳。它通常在超买/超卖的情况下以线相交或背离的方式发出信号。
使用MACD交易的基本方法是观察指标如何穿越信号线。MACD落于信号线的下方是卖出之时，当MACD向上穿越信号线，是买入之时。当MACD穿越零线时也可进行买卖。
平滑异同移动平均线对指示超买/超卖也很有用。当MACD上升，意味着价格被高估并将很快返回更切实的水平。
当MACD与价格发生背离是预期当前趋势即将完成的信号。在价格达到新高的同时MACD指标无法达到新高，就形成了多头背离。当价格创新低而MACD未创新低时就形成了空头背离。如果发生在超买/超卖区域，两种类型的背离都十分重要。
移动平均震荡指标(OsMA) – 它是震荡指标和震荡指标平滑之间的差异。此时，MACD的主线用作震荡指标，其信号线用作震荡指标平滑。
MACD是从12单位周期指数移动平均减去26单位周期指数移动平均的值计算得来的。然后9单位周期的MACD简单移动平均的虚线(信号线)绘制在MACD上。
MACD = EMA(CLOSE, 12)-EMA(CLOSE, 26)
SIGNAL = SMA(MACD, 9)
其中：EMA - 指数移动平均；
SMA - 简单移动平均；
SIGNAL - 指标信号线。
